Warner Bros. released an official trailer showcasing the game on PC and all the features that come with it. Batman: Arkham Knight was a phenomenal PC game with an exceptionally optimized port. Gotham Knight may not be from the Arkham universe, but expectations for the new Warner Bros. game are high.
The trailer reveals some of the features that will come to the PC port, including 4K resolution, ultra-high framerates, ray-traced reflections, and even ultrawide or multi-monitor support. There’s also a new Intel XeSS, an AI-enhanced upscaling option. We can also deduce quite a lot from the trailer that many might have otherwise missed. In the ‘Graphics’ setting tab shown in the trailer, we can see that the upscale quality can be set to get better framerates. From the looks of it, the ‘ultra-high framerate’ slider shows 360 FPS as the cap. Gotham City is full of light and subject to frequent rains that may give many opportunities for reflections to show up. This is where the ray-tracing feature will shine the most. It would be interesting to see how well the Intel XeSS holds up against NVIDIA’s DLSS and upscaling technology. Finally, the support for ultrawide and multi-monitors is an interesting addition. A few years ago, multiple monitors were only limited to a handful of people. But as the years have passed, more and more people are using ultrawide and multi-monitor setups. It is nice to see that Warner Bros. has considered this to ensure the game’s compatibility with all types of setups. The game was initially delayed by a year, but it is now confirmed to be released on October 21, 2022. Warner Bros. Games have not revealed the PC specifications as of yet, but as the trailer for the PC is out, we can expect to see the specs soon.
