In the latest update for The Sims 4, developer Maxis shared the summer roadmap for the game. The studio detailed all the coming expansions and updates that fans can expect from The Sims 4 in the next couple of months.

Everything Teased in The Sims 4 Summer Roadmap

The Sims 4 Summer Roadmap, otherwise known as the “Summer of Sims”, teased what was coming to The Sims 4 in May, June, and July. The latest Expansion Pack will revolve around letting players and their Sims bond with mother nature. It will include new career path options, as well as a big summer event that will let players “rock out” and join a virtual block party. In addition to what we’ve already mentioned, The Sims 4 summer roadmap also revealed that up to three base game updates will be coming to The Sims 4 soon. Unfortunately, Maxis did not reveal when exactly when any of the updates or events will come to The Sims 4. But, if it’s any consolation, we’re already deep into May, and June, as well as July, aren’t too far away. With that said, it’s amazing to see Maxis, or any studio for that matter, support a game that’s been out on the market since 2014. You would think that Maxis would have released The Sims 5 already. After all, every new The Sims game was released around 4-5 years after its predecessor first launched. This means that, whenever The Sims 5 comes, it would mark the longest gap between an existing The Sims game and its sequel. Speaking of The Sims 5, an earlier EA Play Live 2021 leak suggested that it would be part of the upcoming games showcase. While the said leak has been partly debunked - EA Play Live 2021 will take place on July 22 instead of June 14 - it is still possible that The Sims 5 will at least be announced by then. But, of course, this is all mere speculation at this point.
