Star Ocean is Square Enix’s next sci-fi RPG

Tri-Ace looks to build The Divine Force based on 2016’s Integrity and Faithlessness. The upcoming action RPG title will bring back the double-hero system, a blonde man named Raymond, and a white-haired woman named Laeticia. The former is a space captain while the latter is a crown princess and the two must join forces to save Laeiticia’s kingdom while Raymond is also searching for a certain individual named Chloe. It appears that the story will unfold differently based on the choices that you make in your playthrough, starting with your hero of choice. With that said, the game’s initial trailer was light on details. Thankfully, it did give audiences a glimpse of the exploration and combat. It appears to be a large game set in a vast open-world (or universe, perhaps?) where players can explore entire galaxies on board of what appears to be the game’s version of a spacecraft. Don’t worry. Moving around in The Divine Force probably won’t be as difficult. Despite the large terrain, the game appears to feature some form of jetpack technology, which looks a lot like the ones used in EA’s failed title, Anthem. Hopefully, this one doesn’t meet the same fate. According to the game’s initial trailer, The Divine Force is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2022.
