Most, if not all, the PS5 games that Sony has released so far for its current-gen console have been worthy of the higher price tag. But, even if the price is justified, it doesn’t mean that you should always pay full prices for games. The more economical gamers will always find a way to save money while still be able to build up their games library. If you’ve been waiting for a sale to add more games to your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, then we’ve got good news for you.

What to buy from the PlayStation Store Summer Sale

Sony has just discounted thousands of games via its PlayStation Store Summer Sale event. The promotion will run through August 18 for most titles, with the discounted period lasting only until August 4 for certain games. We recommend checking out some of the games on your wishlist to see how long you’ll have to get them for a lower price and how much of a discount you could get. With that said, the PlayStation Store Summer Sale represents one of the few opportunities that you can buy first-party Sony games at a discount. PS5 exclusives like Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls and Housemarque’s Returnal are both available at a lower price. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are cross-gen titles that are also available at a discount. For a full list of discounted titles, you can check out the official PlayStation Blog post. To make it more convenient to you, we’ve rounded up some of the most noteworthy games that are on sale throughout the PlayStation Store Summer Sale:

Demon’s Souls - $46.69 Returnal - $49.69 Sackboy: A Big Adventure - $40.19 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales - $34.99 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - $34.99 Mass Effect Legendary Edition - $44.99 Yakuza: Like a Dragon - $38.99 Hitman 3 - $29.99 Disco Elysium: The Final Cut - $23.99 Final Fantasy XIV: Complete Edition - $23.99 Outriders - $38.99 Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - $38.99 Judgment - $25.99

At the same time, Sony appears to be working on a revision for the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console. As spotted by @Renka_schedule, the revised PlayStation 5 console (CFI-1100B) will, among other things, weigh 3.6kg, roughly around 300g less than the launch version (CFI-1000B).
