In addition, among the many details shared by 343 Industries at E3 2021, one of the biggest highlights is the free-to-play multiplayer online experience. Scroll down below to learn more about what Halo Infinite’s online component has to offer.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer and Single-Player Campaign to Launch Simultaneously
It seems like 343 Industries is taking a page out of Activision’s playbook with Halo Infinite. Unlike previous Halo titles, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer component will be free-to-play. The studio also confirmed that audiences will be able to play Halo Infinite Online at launch, along with the single-player campaign. 343 Industries dedicated a two-minute-long highlight reel to showcasing what Halo fans can expect to see from the Halo Infinite multiplayer component. Check it out below: As you can see from the official Halo Infinite multiplayer reveal, it’s going to be more of the same classic Halo gameplay. Of course, 343 Industries is updating it for the next-gen consoles. Outside of the next-gen graphic enhancements, the new Halo Infinite multiplayer will come with much smoother combat and movement, as well as a better loadout system. It also seems like Arena Multiplayer is making a comeback. Admittedly, the Halo Infinite showcase at E3 2021 was rather brief, all things considered. If it’s any consolation, 343 Industries assured fans that this isn’t the end. The studio plans on showing off Halo Infinite more in a July showcase.
With that said, we should probably just be thankful that 343 Industries put in the work to make Halo Infinite a lot better. The previous gameplay trailer was a disaster of epic levels. It should have never seen the light of the day. The clip drew a lot of flack and was what ultimately forced 343 Industries to delay what should’ve been a launch title for the Xbox Series S/X. Speaking of launch, 343 Industries did not confirm the exact date when Halo Infinite will release. However, we do know from an earlier statement that Halo Infinite will support cross-platform play and progression with a simultaneous release on the Xbox consoles and the PC. The latest trailer did give Halo Infinite a launch window for the 2021 holidays though, which means that the earlier leak that a November 2021 release might still be true.
