Xbox’s noise suppression feature should help minimize background noise. In addition to the given examples like clicks and breathing, other examples include sound from speakers, a fan or A/C blowing air, and a loud chewer. Regardless of what makes you tick when you’re playing multiplayer games, the new noise suppression feature should make for a smoother party chat experience. Going forward, you should be able to hear your friends much more clearly. The only downside is that you won’t be able to use loud background noises as an excuse whenever you end up dying for not listening to your teammates. Once they’ve downloaded and installed the latest update, OS version 10.0.22621.1836, users can take advantage of this handy new feature by opening the console’s guide then selecting Parties and chats, and finally, Options. According to Microsoft, it plans to roll out the feature to other devices outside of the Xbox Series S/X. Furthermore, the new update will also significantly improve Xbox Series X and S boot times. As a result, users will need to wait less time before they can start playing. This is particularly handy in this day and age of high electricity costs, with more users electing to switch their devices off entirely once they are done playing, as opposed to keeping them in “instant on” mode. Coincidentally, the “faster” boot times for the Xbox Series S/X come just as reports proved that the flagship console consumes a lot more electricity on standby mode than expected. Here’s a short list of the other problems that were fixed with the latest Xbox update:
Controllers losing sync at random or disconnecting from the Xbox Icons for disc-based titles not appearing correctly Fixed a random error where some games won’t launch after using a streaming app HDMI-CEC support not working correctly Incorrect TV display resolution
A new update is not the only thing Microsoft is releasing for the Xbox Series X|S. The company also recently unveiled a white Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 - Core. The newly released controller has fewer accessories than the preceding Elite Series 2 controller. However, it retails for $129.99 and is, therefore, less expensive than the $179.99 price tag of the black controller.
