Now, Krispy Kreme is getting in on the gaming fun.
What do the Xbox-branded doughnuts look like?
If you’re curious to find out what Krispy Kreme’s latest promo is, you can check out the tweet below.
Introducing… The Nexus Level Doughnut Coming Soon đź‘€https://t.co/UVteHkCnjT@xboxuk #KrispyKremeXbox pic.twitter.com/Xf3hRuKybw — Krispy Kreme UK (@krispykremeUK) July 28, 2021 The cleverly named Nexus Level doughnuts are a part of Krispy Kreme’s cross-promotion with Microsoft’s Xbox brand in the United Kingdom and Ireland. As you can see from the video above, they should taste pretty good. As part of the promotion, consumers who buy a box of the Nexus Level doughnuts between August 2 and August 22 will get the chance to win an Xbox Series S and a 1-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. All you need to do is scan the QR code on the box of doughnuts. While this isn’t exactly the weirdest nor craziest cross-promotion between gaming brands, it is nice to see food makers outside of the usual brands join. Krispy Kreme is also well aware that it is one of the few brands to actually make a food-related cross-promotion with the likes of Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo. You can see in the video that the doughnut company uses corporate titles like quality assurance guru and product innovator to hype up what they describe as the donut’s ergonomic form and revolutionary design. It’s clever and fun, and a shame that it’s only available in the UK and Ireland. But, then again, who knows? If this promotion gains enough traction, Krispy Kreme might decide to roll out the doughnuts to all of its stores worldwide. Speaking of Krispy Kreme, Xbox Mexico just leaked that Halo Infinite is going to release sometime in November. This isn’t exactly a big revelation as we knew that the game was going to release in time for the 2021 holidays, but it’s arguably the first time that an official(ish) source came out and put a clear release window for the upcoming AAA shooter title. The tweet, as seen above, translates to “Why wait for November if we can start the festivities now? Xbox Mexico and @MexKrispyKreme” We celebrate 20 years of the Master Chief with a special edition Halo Infinite donut. Available July 30. #MartesdeHalo #UnAntojoInfinito" At the moment, the original tweet is still up, so you can check it out if you want. Speaking of Halo Infinite, 343 Industries has begun sending out invites to the game’s first multiplayer technical preview. If you are a Halo Insider, you might want to read through your emails, especially your junk and/or spam folders if you haven’t received anything yet.
