Henderson claims to have seen the early footage of the upcoming title, courtesy of an anonymous source, be he couldn’t share the footage with the general public. According to Henderson, the game features the popular Mama from Death Stranding. However, Henderson states that the game did not seem to be a sequel to Death Stranding.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be Mama from Death Stranding. Henderson specifically states that the “actress who portrayed Mama, Margaret Qualley,” was seen in a blue dress. This does not mean that it is Mama. According to Henderson, the video shows a character walking down a dark corridor in third-person mode with a flashlight in their hand. If playing third-person isn’t your cup of tea, he also indicated that the game can be played in first-person mode. It seems a lot of games are leaning towards first-person mode support. Apparently, there is a jumpscare at the end of the footage, which shows “GAMEOVER” followed by “A Hideo Kojima Game…OVERDOSE.” The word “GAMEOVER” is a familiar word as it is also referenced by another credible insider named The Snitch. The Snitch responded with “It’s a Game Over” to Geoff Keighley on his Twitter post, suggesting he got new gameplay footage.

Hideo Kojima has already been in touch with Xbox to publish their new game. Kojima was also seen last week having a zoom conversation with Geoff Keighley, which he tweeted about. It is possible that the new game could be revealed during Summer Game Fest, as Kojima also retweeted Geoff Keighley’s recent tweet related to the upcoming event.
