According to Disney, the presentation will include announcements of new games as well as additional details about all the upcoming projects by Lucasfilm Games, 20th Century Games, and Marvel Games. It is implied that we’re going to get a chance to check out never-before-seen footage of upcoming projects. This includes Skydance New Media’s Marvel game. If we go by Disney’s teaser trailer, we’ll likely see footage of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Ubisoft’s Avatars: Frontiers of Pandora as well. Skydance New Media is currently partnering with Disney for two games. The Amy Hennig-led studio is working on a still-unnamed Marvel game. Earlier this year, we also found out that Skydance has a Star Wars game on the docket. If we’re lucky, we’ll see both at D23 Expo, however, we’d settle for just one. Either way, both will feature an original story set and will mark the studio’s first two AAA ventures.
♬ original sound - Xfire - Xfire In an ideal world, we would have had a chance to enjoy at least one new Marvel game each year since Marvel’s Avengers by Crystal Dynamics came out in 2020. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case after Firaxis Games pushed back Marvel’s Midnight Suns to 2023. At the very least, the PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man is already out with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales expected to follow suit later this year. Going back to what we could see at D23, there are a bunch of other games that weren’t in the teaser trailer that we’re hoping will be present. Chief among them is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is expected to come out early next year. Other games that we’re hoping at least get a confirmation on is another pair of rumored EA titles, Marvel’s Iron Man and Marvel’s Black Panther.
