As revealed at the end of the Capcom Pro Tour esports event, Capcom is working on Street Fighter 6 with plans to share more about the upcoming fight game in “summer 2022.”

Capcom’s official announcement marks the first time that the public has known about Street Fighter 6, although it’s something that fans have suspected for a while. Capcom didn’t have a lot to show for the next Street Fighter game outside of a brief trailer featuring long-time series protagonist, Ryu, squaring off against newcomer, Luke, who Capcom described as part of the franchise’s future last year. In the meantime, Capcom gave fighting game fans something to keep them occupied while waiting for Street Fighter 6. The Capcom Fighting Collection is a compilation of classic fighting games that are set to launch on June 24 on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and the PC. Here’s a list of all the games included in the Capcom Fighting Collection:

Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire Red Earth Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Street Fighter 2

The highlight of the Capcom Fighting Collection is the Darkstalkers games, two of which will be making their way westward for the first time. The rest are cult classics that might or might not sound familiar to you but are nevertheless well worth playing. The best part is that you can play all the listed games online. At the end of the day, fans are hoping that Capcom learned its lesson from Street Fighter V. After being released in 2016, Street Fighter V was reviled and ridiculed by audiences at launch. It took Capcom years and several updates before fans switched on to Street Fighter 5 and gave it a chance. Still, many players still prefer previous versions of Street Fighter. Case in point, we gave the heads up to Ultra Street Fighter IV in our list of the best fighting games, and we are not alone in this opinion. In other news, while Capcom did not reveal a new Resident Evil game following the earlier countdown, fans can still look forward to more Resident Evil to come soon. There’s still the previous report of a Resident Evil 4 remake announcement coming this year as well as Resident Evil Cerberus, which is projected for a 2022 release. Not to mention, Capcom still has to make do with its promise to release more DLC content for Resident Evil Village following the game’s successful release.
