Adams recently revealed to Variety, during the premiere of Disenchanted, that she’s open to returning as Lois Lane, saying: At least eight different actresses have played the role of Lois Lane throughout the years, but Adams is the only one to have had a chance to portray the love of Superman’s life multiple times in recent years. The only ones with multiple credits as Lois Lane on the big screen is Margaret Ruth Kidder and Noel Neill. Although the DCU’s new heads could technically bring in a new face, fans would love to see Adams back as Henry Cavill’s on-screen pattern. Cavill last portrayed Superman or Clark Kent in Zack Snyder’s Justice League last year. Even though the reshoot of 2017’s Justice League wasn’t enough to bring Snyder back on board (at least, not yet), it did get the ball rolling on Cavill’s eventual return as Superman. Cavill most recently appeared in a mid-credits scene for the DCU’s latest film, Black Adam, where he tells Dwayne Johnson’s titular character that they “needed to talk.” The future is bright for the DCU now that someone who might actually have a grand vision is in charge. Bringing back Adams would only serve to make the cinematic universe’s future brighter.
